Mónica Fernández Fonseca and Pierre Daureu promoted to Counsel
The firm is delighted to announce the promotion to Counsel of Mónica Fernández Fonseca and Pierre Daureu.
Mónica and Pierre have been crucial in the expansion of our practice in recent years and have played important roles in some of the firm’s recent victories.
Mónica Fernández Fonseca, a national of Costa Rica, is a Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and joined the firm from years of practice in international arbitration practices in Washington D.C. Geneva and Paris, as well as in International Court of Justice in The Hague. As a member of the Ministry of Commerce of Costa Rica she was part of the legal team defending the Republic of Costa Rica in its investment arbitration cases.
Pierre Daureu, is a French avocat, with a wealth of experience in international commercial and investment cases having been involved in over 40 arbitration cases and arbitration-related litigation before the French courts. Prior to joining the firm, Pierre had worked in two respected and esteemed Parisian arbitration boutiques. He is currently lecturing on international arbitration at the University of Paris X – Nanterre.
